Robert Leslie Conly
Robert Leslie Conly, also known as Robert C. O'Brian, has written three children's books including "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh", "Z for Zachariah", and "The Silver Crown". He attended Williams College and then graduated from University of Rochester. At the University of Rochester he studied piano at Eastman School of Music. He had many writing and editing occupations after he graduated. Robert was born in Brooklyn on January 11 , 1918 and died on March 5, 1973 in Washington at the age of 55. Z for Zachariah was almost completed when he passed, so his wife and daughter completed the last few chapters from his notes.
